Dear Abdulai,

I know how it feels at 17, from a less privileged background, with no dad, and taking the role of a father at such a very young age, looking after your mum and siblings. I could see the pain and tears from your eyes as a result of the shocking loss of your beloved dad, the bleeding in your heart as a result of the injustice you see in your community, country and the world at large. I would like to let you know that you are not alone. Keep your head up, remain positive and keep believing that you have a purpose to fulfill, and you do have something great to offer to this generation. Please take note of the following points below:

Continue to pray, Trust God, Believe in yourself, take meaningful actions towards achieving your goals/dreams, Be focused, Be consistent and be disciplined. Greatness depends on the decisions you make and your daily habits. Choose wisely.

Train your mind to be positive. It all starts in the mind. Life is a mindset game. Your vision is key; it’s your GPS. Try to get your mind right as early as possible.

Try and get atleast 2 mentors, people who would guide you through life and hold you accountable.

Invest in yourself. Knowledge is power. Be good at what you chose to do. What you offer is crucial.

Fall in love with people, and try to serve. You can’t attain success alone. Build meaningful relationships.

Learn to be authentic, be real, be honest, Be You, and above all, PLEASE BE KIND TO OTHERS ♡
